Adopting a rescue hedgehog is not for everyone. 

Things to Think About When Adopting:

  1. The hedgehogs medical, health and breeding background will most likely be unknown. There is NO health guarantee.
  2. The exact age of the hedgehog will most likely be unknown.
  3. He/she may be not be well socialized and thus may need extra time and patience.

The North Attleboro Hedgehog Rescue takes in surrendered hedgehogs from private owners, breeders and animal shelters that are in need of homes for a variety of reasons including:

- Behavior Issues

- Health Issues

- Owners lifestyle change/moving/college etc

- Abuse/Neglect

- Retired Breeders

Our goal is to address any underlying issue the hedgehog may have (behavior, health, etc) and work to find them an appropriate, educated, experienced home.  If for whatever reason, the hedgehog can not be placed, they have a home here and can live out their days in our care.
